“The Intercontinental Adelaide presents a curious dichotomy: glimpses of true luxury interwoven with a need for modernization. While service standards remain high, buoying the experience considerably, some rooms feel dated for the price point. Its location, steps from Adelaide's cultural heart and sporting venues, is a definite advantage.”

Wonderful City Stay

central locationeasy transportready access
From arrival, I found the location convenient for city exploration. The hotel offers short walks to the central business district and the river. A train and tramline are conveniently located outside the front, which provides easy transport. I could readily explore and return to my room.
I noticed that the bathroom could use a little updating.
Facilities
9/10
The outdoor pool area includes ample loungers for relaxation and a shaded section for sun protection. I saw the gym had three treadmills and two stationary bikes, which seemed sufficient for a decent workout (should you wish to workout).

Acceptable Stay With Notable Issues

decent selectionrude staffunanswered complaint
The breakfast was acceptable. It had a decent selection of items.
The room service was not good. The staff were rude. Items I ordered were forgotten, and my complaint to reception was not addressed (which is quite annoying). reception took too long to answer calls.
